HELP in Charlotte County sees to it that as much of your donation goes toward its expected use as much as possible. Let’s face it, every Non-Prifit Organization has overhead expenses just like every business out there. Our goal is to keep our overhead expenses as low as possible. We do this by getting as many needed supplies and services donated to us as we can. We do not have a building, storage space, or vehicle that we need to pay rent and/or insurance on. We have monthly Board of Directors meeting spaces donated to us by local churches. Instead of having a large vehicle to haul food around in, we ask volunteers from the food pantries to come pick up the food donations. Some Food Banks actually charge the Food Pantries for delivering the food donations to them. If a large vehicle is needed, we get it donated to us by The Man With The Van, or Jerry Hayes. We are always looking for resources in our community that we can use to stretch your donation. We also get various matching funds grants which we can double your donation. We can often find ways to stretch your donation and turn $1.00 into $10.00.
